…Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.” – Romans
10: 1-3
“…Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.” – James 1: 19-20
“…The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.” – Proverbs 11: 6
The COVID-19 pandemic has had such a devastating effect on the world, and the Christian community, in general. The faith of the body of Christ has been tested, and, over the last several months, many of the brethren have decided to walk away from the truth of God, and most importantly, the understanding of His Word. In our overall pursuit of “the meaning of life”, it is important to be able to hear what is being delivered to us as “knowledge”.
Many of our brethren have been coerced into following another “wisdom” as it promises to enlighten you and perpetrate as if it is new information. Solomon told us:
“…The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” – Ecclesiastes 1: 9
We, as the body of Christ, need to be mindful of the wiles of the enemy as he does not care about our salvation and will stop at nothing to get you to follow him … DON’T DO IT! Stay within the framework of the Lord’s commandments and statutes, especially in this age of self-gratification! A word of advice, if you feel weak and need help, don’t hesitate to call on the Lord AND reach out to a brother or sister to pray and/or fast with.
“…Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” – Matthew 18: 19-20
Our calling, as a whole, is to be watchmen, win souls for Christ, and keep intact the Body through edification, admonishment, rebuke, consolation, and worship; Encourage Bible studies in our home, our church, our community, and abroad so we can “…make ourselves ready…” for the coming wedding with our Lord and Shepherd, Jesus!
“..Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may
devour: Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” – 1 Peter 5: 8-9
Stay sober and watch! Peace and love in Jesus’ name!
